Senseis Steven Morris and Paul Lapsley Achievements Recognised

Sensei Tommy Morris announced today that Senseis Steven Morris and Paul Lapsley will be promoted to 7th Dan and 5th Dan respectively. The awards will be made at the Kobe Osaka UK Annual Course at Linlithgow on 12th May.

Steven's promotion was requested by Sensei Tommy Morris and agreed by the Kobe Osaka International senior instructors, Kamil Musin Russia, Loh Beng Hooi Malaysia, Jaap Smaal Netherlands, Marco Mazanti Australia, Richard Callaghan Australia and Patrick Lim Malaysia, in recognition of his achievements during more than forty years in karate.

Paul's promotion to the "Master" rank of 5th Dan marks his remarkable dedication and hard won successes both in the areas of international competiton and his abilities as a full-time karate instructor.

He was recently honoured by receiving the Falkirk Council's Sports Personality of the Year Award in recognition of his many recent competiton successes including his Gold Medal at the Kobe Osaka International World Cup in Malaysia last year. Well done Paul!
