Stuart Maxwell

2nd Dan

History
Stuart Maxwell started training in Shukokai karate in 1968 before joining the British Army. After leaving the Army he returned to training with Jimmy Pace in Edinburgh and later joined Eddie Daniels in Birmingham. He attended training with Sensei Kimura and was awarded his 1st Dan in 1990.
Shortly afterwards Stuart went to Germany to work as a bricklayer returning to Scotland in 1994. He joined Roy Stanhope's organisation and received his 2nd Dan in 2002.
He joined Kobe Osaka Scotland in 2008.

Qualifications
Stuart's 2nd Dan Black Belt was ratified by Kobe Osaka Scotland. He has attended a number of sports courses on anatomy, physiology, psychology, biomechanics, nutrition and safe exercise procedures as well as the Sports UK Coaching Courses as laid out by the SKGB. He is a fully qualified Karate instructor and coach with Kobe Osaka Scotland and approved by the Scottish Karate Governing Body.

His students have won numerous medals at Kobe-Osaka, National Championships and International Championships.
