January started with us on Level 4, so we were back teaching on Zoom again following the COVID outbreak. We started some outdoor classes in February. The students had fun and it was great seeing them face to face training.
In March Sensei’s Steven and Paul did an outdoor Easter Camp in Grangemouth. A three-day camp and a grading where everyone passed plus Logan J-S passed his Peewee Ninja Black belt. Well Done!

From the first lockdown in March 2020 to end of April 2021, between Sensei’s Steven and Paul they taught 2120 classes online.

On the 26th of April we moved to Level 3, which meant we could reopen the Dojo. The Dojo reopened and adhering to the COVID rules under 18’s did not need to book a session however a booking system was still in place for the 18-year-olds and over.
On Tuesday the 11th of May, Sensei John Fleming passed away. John was an instructor with the Kobe Osaka for over 40 years and taught Karate/ Jiu Jitsu in classes and courses. He travelled with the Kobe team all over the world helping with teaching and refereeing at the championships. He was a great support to everyone. John was an excellent instructor, a good friend, and he will be sadly missed.
